Pelvic health
Are you experiencing discomfort or concerns related to your pelvic floor? You're not alone. Your pelvic floor is an amazingly versatile group of muscles that allow us to maintain continence and pelvic organ support, breathing support, and allow ssafe passage of a baby, maintain sexual function, as well as biomechanical support to the pelvic and lower back. Given all of the functions above, there are ways where these muscles function can be altered due to trauma and/or biomechanics.
Some common concerns that we treat in the clinic include chronic lower back pain, prolapse, bladder and bowel leakage, sexual health concerns, and pelvic floor hyperactivity or weakness. Pelvic Health can also become extremely important when preparing for pregnancy and birth as the above concerns may be exacerbated by carrying the weight of the baby and childbirth.
Our aim is to assist with these concerns by empowering you with the tools and knowledge you need to take control of your pelvic floor and overall well-being.
